"A riviting read with charming twists of fate. Simply wonderful
characters of all ages that will enthrall the reader from page
one. Pick up Ginna Gray's A MAN APART for a refreshing tale of
family life and delightful depiction of the bonds of love - of
all kinds."
Romance Readers on the Run (Internet Review)
"Characterizations are what makes Ginna Gray's books. She
will often useold romance plots, but by the time she is finished
with them they seem fresh and new. This book is no exception.
The hero is a cop who has been wounded in the line of duty. Seeking
to escape reporters and well-meaning friends, he grudgingly agrees
to spend his recuperation time at an old fishing lodge belonging
to his lieutenant. Wht his boss doesn't tell him is that the lodge
is also occupied by a former police psychiatrist who is now running
a home for foster children. Of course, between her and the children,
the cop is healed both physically and mentally. I recommend this
book. The characters are likable and deep, with just enough conflict.
It's also good enough that you will be awaiting the next installment
titled, IN SEARCH OF DREAMS."
Review on Amazon.com
" A MAN APART is an eminently satisfying read. The author
has imbued her characters with life-like characteristics. The
challenges and conflicts of the plot are believable and make fascinating
reading. There are touches of laughter, a big heaping of romance
and even a surprisingly chilling element of suspense to keep the
reader turning pages. Highly recommended tale!"

"Ms Gray's compassionate heroine is the perfect complement
for the hero's tough-guy swagger. The lively secondary players
will charm readers."

"This is a powerful story of love and hate, bitterness and forgiveness.
The characters come alive and share their emotions and lives with
you for a short time. I hated to put it down."
Rendezvous '95
5 Stars (out of 5) Rating
Most people enjoy a "bad boy gone good" story. This is one of
the finest of its genre.
Heartland Critiques Nov., '95
"Characterization is the story's strength. The hero exudes
masculinity and is a potent combination of swaggering self-confidence
and a "don't give a damn" attitude. The heroine combines a trusting
nature and a kind heart with a backbone of steel and the tenacity
of a pit bull. The sexual tension between them is pervasive and
their sex scenes are passionate.
"There are several engaging subplots. They spotlight a superb
cast of secondary characters and enhance the story . . .
"The romance takes precedence. Suspense, while low-key,
is sustained by reminding readers at strategic intervals that
a menacing presence, an emotional time bomb, is lurking in the
background, watching, waiting . . ."
Gothic Journal June/July, '96
"Another of those good girl/bad boy stories we all seem
to love! Powerful story and writing, strong character development."
